Why Snorkel Molokai By Boat?

Molokai’s reef is unique among the other islands because we have a 30 mile “fringing reef.” This means that the reef crest is a half mile to a mile offshore and the unspoiled reef is just beyond that. This serves as both a positive and a negative.

On the upside, the reef is not trampled on or damaged by inexperienced swimmers & snorkelers and thus remains completely natural and undamaged. However, it is hard to access by shore, thus, to see the exceptional reef, a boat excursion is the best option.

Also, by snorkeling from boat…

  • Everything you need is provided for you:Complimentary mask, snorkel, fins, wet suits, flotation devices, & beverages
  • Professional instruction from PADI dive masters for all ages and experiences levels
  • Knowledgeable guides that will bring you to areas with exceptional coral structures, abundant reef fish, and areas where turtles, manta rays, and spotted eagle rays commonly reside.
